The Honest Guide to Selling Feet Content in 2026: What to Know Before You Start
Have you seen the ads on Instagram or TikTok that promise easy income just by selling pictures of your feet? Or the creators who make it look so easy you think to yourself… maybe you want to give it a try? In this economy, I hear that more and more.
I love that for you!
I’ve been in this industry for about 3 years now and went from part time to now a full time creator. I’m going to share what I wish I knew before starting and what I would tell my friends who come to me asking how to get started.
What Are You Building?
Is this something you want to dabble in, or do you actually want to try and make some income? A big mistake I read about in creator support forums is that new creators approach this with a “let’s see what happens” mentality. That approach is fine if you want to test the waters, but I think you should work your way towards building something with intention.
Your mindset going in is going to shape your experience. Going into this and I want you to have a positive experience so let's talk about some of the pitfalls you might experience. Strong boundaries and remembering that you are selling a product were a big one for me. So many men are looking for an online pen pal, and it's up to you to remember you have limited energy and not something to give freely to potential buyers. This means staying warm, friendly and engaged without overextending yourself.
Burnout also needs to be addressed. I don't know how many times I burned out trying out other creators’ methods that were just too much for me. It’s best to find something suitable for you that you can work towards maintaining long term.
Practical Foundation
The logistics every new creator needs to know before posting.
There are many platforms where you can post your paid content. The main platforms are Loyalfans, Feetfinder, OnlyFans, and Fansly. Just like Instagram and TikTok are different, each of these platforms works differently and takes some time to figure out.
If you are new to all of those platforms, I recommend starting with one, learning it well, and branching out from there. It protects your energy and keeps you focused while you grow. It can be tempting to start everywhere. My recommendation is to claim your stage name on any platform you might want to post on even if not active yet.
To get people to your paid content, you’ll need to advertise on platforms like Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok, and similar platforms. They are all tricky because of changing laws around what is okay to post and how you can advertise your business. You’ll have to be creative in your marketing.
Privacy
This is huge. Always protect your privacy.
Start by creating a new email for your new creator identity. This is day one activity after choosing your stage name.
Watermark every piece of content before it leaves your possession. Ensure your photos have location data and metadata turned off.
Sometimes when you advertise, you will get offers to make custom content. Taking payment on your chosen platform which performs age verification is the easiest and safest way to operate in this space. You want to stay compliant with 2257 regulations in the United States, which aim to protect minors from sexual exploitation. There are ways to verify off-platform, but I stick to what's most legally safe.
How you take payment is another area where protecting your privacy matters. Places like Zelle and PayPal are typically attached to your real name, and sharing this can get you doxed. It's not worth it.
Production & Equipment
You don’t need fancy equipment to get started, now or ever. You need a decent camera and good lighting. Most phones these days have a good enough camera. I have a Samsung Galaxy and it works great for all of my recording needs!
Lighting, angles and aesthetics all matter when taking your pictures. You want it to look nice and appealing enough to draw buyers in. You want to learn what your customer base likes and lean into that. I paid attention to the feedback and compliments I received from my buyers and top fans and made small tweaks that helped me reel more buyers in.
Pricing, Boundaries, and the Mistake Most New Creators Make
On Pricing
A mistake I made, and one I see women make all the time, is under pricing their content. You can price yourself however you see fit. Keep in mind that your pricing signals your value. Do some research in your niche and price accordingly.
On Boundaries
Know what your limits are before you film anything. Assume anything you post might be found by the people you know some day. When I first started, I did not show my face for over a year. Then, as I got more comfortable with my persona and boundaries, I felt emboldened enough to show my face and be okay with it. But it was at my own pace, not because a customer wanted it or because I knew it would be good for my brand.
I’ve received requests that helped me define my limits. That looks like me receiving a request that I considered for a moment, and after answering some internal questions, politely declining it.
You will receive custom requests. When a customer sends a request for a scene, I send them a quote and if they accept, I then create the video and send it to them via locked message if it's through platform or Telegram or other messaging platform. A general message I use when I need to decline without inviting an argument is: “I’m not available for this kind of content at this time. I’ll let you know if that ever changes. Thanks for reaching out!”.
Mistakes Have Been Made
I need to mention pushy customers. There will be customers who try to push your boundaries and it's important you remember they are not worth crossing your limits, for. This is not an opportunity you will be missing out on. I promise. There are many respectful, kind customers out there and those are the ones we want to work with.
Does it seem like I speak from experience? I’ve had a couple of pushy customers in my career and navigated them on the fly. I wish I had felt as grounded in my boundaries then as I do now. I want you to have this clarity without enduring a difficult experience to get there.
Quality Over Quantity
I strongly believe in quality over quantity. When you are a one-person operation, and the one interacting with buyers, it benefits you to filter towards those who show you respect. You won't be able to avoid the bottom-of-the-barrel interactions entirely given the nature of the industry. Keeping those engagements brief will serve you in the long run.
Let's bring it back to boundaries. It’s important to remember at all times the nature of the interaction is transactional. Because when you are being your cool, sexy, authentic self, customers might start to develop feelings for you. Be ready to deal with that when it happens.
You are in control of how this goes.
The Business Infrastructure
It's important to understand what your tax obligation might look like from the beginning, because the IRS will collect one way or another. I won’t provide specific guidance since tax laws vary, but a commonly used estimate for self-employment tax is 30%. So, your self-employed income will be taxed at a rate of 30%. Be ready when tax time comes next April.
Something we do that doesn't get talked about enough is emotional labor. When I first started this business, I was too nice and gave more of my energy than I had capacity for. There is a “male loneliness epidemic” (more on that another time), which I’ve experienced as buyers using me as a therapist or intimate companion. I don't think this would be such an issue if they were willing to compensate me for it, but they don't actually value the emotional labor and don't think they should have to pay for it.
Your warmth, softness, and energy are so valuable. The sooner you realize that and act accordingly, the more your future self will thank you.
Starting Smart
This is what I offer to help you start smart. I love your curiosity, and the fact that you are doing research tells me a lot about how you’ll run your business should you decide to move forward.
Best case scenario is you enter the field with clarity and build with intention to carve out your own space here. There's more than enough room for all of us here, and I welcome you!
The women who thrive in this space are the ones who decide what they stand for before they decided what they would sell. That’s a great place to start.
If you’re ready to take the next step and want to chat with someone who has been there, let's connect. I would love to coach you through getting your business started. If that’s through a Single Session to review your plan together, a week-long Structured Sprint to get a plan together, or a Transformation Intensive month to go more in depth and work together more closely to get you going, I’m here for all of it.
Now go out and build!
